Sail in Asia brought the first International Dragon Boats to Thailand in 2006. Since then we have been offering Dragon Boat Regattas to Corporate Clientsin Phuket Thailand. Since 2011 we have been able to offer Dragon Boat Events all over Thailand as we now have a purpose built Dragon Boat trailer that allows us to travel to Pattaya, Hua Hin, Khao Lak, Bangkok and Krabi to run Dragon Boat Regattas.

Dragon Boating is one of Asia's traditional cultural pastimes and has spread all over the world.We can run events for up to 800 participants, anywhere in Thailand and we have the background and expertise of doing this over twenty five years in several countries. Dragon boating is amazing fun and is incredibly popular with team building organisers who want activity for large groups of people. Our events program is slick and professional with opportunities for Companies to have bespoke features. Corporate Dragon Boating Regattas are superb fun and we have fabulous venues in Phuket at which to do this. One is the superb Nai Harn Lake another the perfect unspoilt beach at Ao Yon Bay. Mobile Events

We have the ability to Go Anywhere in Thailand with our purpose built Dragon Boat trailer. Our trailer allows us to carry four boats and all our equipment. We are able to support events with up to 400 participants. This may enable your company to have an event at a beach where you may be staying. This minimises travel time and also means the event can be bespoke and customised to your requirements. Call us to discuss the possibilities.

Safety

Phuket Dragonboats are the only IDBF registered organisation in Thailand and this means we comply with all Safety Measures for organising dragonboat events. Phuket Dragon Boats are Thailand's only recognised training centre for Dragon Boating and for Safety Training. (Our STCW95 training centre is MCA and USCG approved).

Community Fundraiser and Provider

Phuket Dragon Boats is also a community provider and supporter of the sport of Dragon Boating. We provide FREE training and dragon boating for teams registered with us (Non commercial). These teams are all members of the Phuket Dragon Boat Club. They train on the beautiful lake at Nai Harn and at Rawai Beach on Sundays. The Nai Harn dragons are a local Rawai based team that use our dragon boats every Sunday and Phuketians can join them for FREE and go dragon boating!! International Schools Outdoor Education Provider

Phuket Dragon Boats is also an Outdoor Education Provider. The CEO Mike Downard is a qualified teacher and Outdoor Education specialist with years of experience running London's biggest watersports centre. Here in Asia we provide holidays and outdoor education packages for International Schools. The Phuket Dragon Boat Club is based at Paradise Beach at Rawai on Phuket Island.

Dragon Boats Regattas for Charities

Community Dragon Boating is free to any charity that we feel is worthy of help. We often use the Dragon Boats to raise money for charity, particularly to help children, the disabled and to build hospitals. We help the Phuket Community Foundation every year.

Hotels in Phuket are especially important to us in that we have a mutually beneficial relationship. We provide groups for MICE and often they send teams to participate in our Dragon Boating Charity Fundraisers.
