Phuket Thailand's International Dragon Boat Festival
Phuket Dragon Boat Festivalhas been rescheduled due to the political difficulties in Thailand in 2008
and
the world recession that has impacted so dramatically on our sponsors. We regret that the
recessiion and the loss of a Title sponsor has significantly affected our plans. We intend to
reschedule
the event to 2010 and greatly regret any inconvenience this causes for International Dragon Boat
teams. We will advise dates of the rescheduled event when a Title sponsor has again emerged.

The Phuket International Dragon boat Regatta is our main competition
each year and is participated in by both International teams and Thai
teams on the superb lake at Nai Harn Bay on Phuket Island.
Superb hotel and resort accommodation and experienced events
companies make the event accessible to all. The festival is professionally run, in all
respects.
Join the PIDBF in April 2009 and expect a big well organized regatta,
with superb hosting and amazing
evening parties.

transportation for teams.

Phuket Dragon Boats are based at Ao Yon on Phuket Island, Thailand. Dragon Boating is one of Asia's
traditional cultural pastimes and has spread all over the world. Corporate Dragon Boating activity and
Team Building is organized by Sail in Asia. Team building activities are also available to Local, National
and International Companies who want to engage in fun racing regattas with the emphasis on team bonding and corporate morale boosting. BBQ, refreshments and music are the main ingredients, not to
forget, unspoilt tropical beach, warm seas and palm trees along the beach. Our events program is slick

Community dragon boating is free to members of The Phuket Dragon
Boat Club. Competitions are funded mainly by sponsors who see the
community value of this rich sport. We often use Dragon Boating to
