About Phuket Dragonboats in Thailand

Phuket Dragon Boats was founded by Mike Downard the CEO of Sail in Asia and Bill Handley, both keen and experienced water sportsmen.

Bill is one of Britains most experienced Dragon boaters and has been the leading light in London for almost 20 years. Bill has been master of ceremonies at the UK's biggest events and knows how to galvanise teams and to keep everyone on task and enjoying their day out.

Mike is an Outdoor Education specialist teacher with over 25 years in the Team Building and Training industry. Mike is the Principal of Sail in Asia Sea School and introduced the International Dragon Boat to Thailand.

The Phuket Dragon Boat Website was principally set up to inform Corporate clients about using Dragon Boats for Team Building in Phuket, Pattaya, Khao Lak and Bangkok. We have, photos and movies that show the excitement and fun of Dragon Boat Corporate Events. It is possible to organise events all over Thailand as we have a trailer that can transport 4 boats and equipment. We can run Team Building events of up to 400 persons with this trailer.

CLUB DRAGON BOAT REGATTAS

This activity will be run by The Phuket Dragon Boat Club. The future regattas will involve teams from all over Phuket Island and we hope this includes teams from the Temples, The hospitals, the government workers and the schools to mention just a few.

This is Phuket's biggest FREE team building activity and is a fun filled day activity on a beautiful landscaped lake. Call us if you think your group or team would like to be involved in this easily accessed sport.
