Phuket International Dragon Boat Regatta and Water Festival
The PIDBR will be held in Phuket Thailand in April 2009
(provisional dates 2nd to 5th)
The regatta will be held at the beautiful Nai Harn lake
situated at the southern end of the Island.
PIDBR is both a sporting occasion and a cultural event.
The regatta is held over 4 fun filled days with teams
competing on a 200m and 500m course.
Spectators can view the regatta from the island on the lake or from the banks of the lake. !

Evening entertainment, Thai pop, classical music concert to fireworks, Thai dancing, the lanterns
ceremony and a thousand lit mini rafts will be just a selection from the evening program. Phuket will be
showing our International Visitors what an Amazing place Thailand is! Songkran (Thai New Year) is
only a week a way and we will begin the water activity in Phuket with thousands of people enjoying
the sporting and cultural extravaganza.
The event is one of carnival and competition - teams may dress up in costumes, carry mascots and
arefull of good humour and fun.Alternatively they can be dressed in 'F1 Company Livery' – the choice is
the individual teams!
